Hmmm...lots of differences. I'm guessing you're not referencing the overall graphic design change or even the actual TITLE change (at least in regards to the difference between "things to do" and "Ways," as well as the addition of "an" in the US version)? I've always wondered why they make such large changes for UK and US versions of books. I'm assuming it has to do with marketing studies that says one way appeals more to US readers than the other, but I personally like the UK version better.
Hi Jessica Lovely to hear from you. I pushed to keep the '101 Things' in the UK but the US publishers didn't think that it mattered for the book to be part of the '101 Things' series and '101 Ways' could stand alone ... so at the 11th hour the cover and title changed after comments from retailers etc. were taken into account ...
I prefer the UK cover too, but like you say, the US is a different market and so far I've been really lucky that my original covers were adopted by the majority of countries ...
As for your book, I'll print you out a UK cover to wrap around your US version!

Can't wait to check it out!
Thanks Elleswim. Hope you like it
I agree with the UK cover being better as it is more true to the series, but the American cover IS more... Well... American!
