101 Things To Do Before You Die has been printed into approximately 15 languages and only once has a foreign publisher asked me to change a Thing To Do.
My Korean publisher asked me to create a new Thing To Do to replace one that wouldn't be suitable for Korean readers so I devised Create an Alter Ego. What follows is an extract from the new Thing To Do ...
Create an Alter Ego
Authors, actors, comedians and musicians adopt them, impersonators become them, people are imprisoned because they have them, while superheroes and evil geniuses save the world or destroy the earth with theirs. Create an alter ego for all those times you wished you could be someone or something else.

Two True?
Choose a pen or stage name to represent your creative alter ego. A great name could be the key to your success. (see Pen & Stage Names)
Immerse yourself in the virtual world of internet games such as Second Life, Final Fantasy or World of Warcraft. Create the persona you’ve always desired with the avatar of your dreams.
Create an alter ego on a social networking website. Let your imagination run riot. You can be anything ... you don’t even have to be human. Check out some of these alter egos on Twitter: HolyGod, big_ben_clock, DianaInHeaven, darthvader and common_squirrel.
