09.09.09 - DOOMMONGERS OF THE WORLD TAKE NOTE!

Neat dates do not signal the end of the world!

The Millennium came and went and nothing happened ... The 6th June 2006 (06.06.06) came and went and nothing happened ... and yesterday, 09.09.09, came and went and nothing happened. Countless other neats dates have been and gone and nothing ever happens ...

On the 7th of August 2009, just after noon, the numbers in the time and date lined up to list the numbers from 1-9 in a row:

12h 34m 56s - 7th August 2009.

Surprisingly, no one mentioned the end of the world on that day as everyone thought that the numbers lining up just looked cool, but 9.9.9 is a different matter - as it looks a bit like 6.6.6 but the other way up ... and remember what happened on the 6th June 2006 ... er ... that's right ... nothing. If the world was going to end it'd be either on the devils day, 6.6.6 which it didn't, or on a totally unrelated random day.

06.06.06 looks neat, so does 09.09.09 and as you've probably noticed ... we're all still here.
