When I wrote this in the first 101 book ...
'Wedding ideas
Get married at 30,000ft. The plane would take off for your honeymoon destination. The ceremony would then be performed mid flight in first class by the captain and it would be played on the in-flight video screens for the rest of the guests. After the ceremony, dancing would take place in the aisles in the aisles. The only downside is that the whole wedding party would be joining you on your honeymoon.'
... I never expected it to come true.
EasyJet have announced they're going to be the first airline to provide an in-flight wedding ceremony service. I got the basic idea right but I did get it slightly wrong. EasyJet don't have video screens or a first class ...

I actually crossed this off my list by renewing my vows inside of the Penguin Encounter at SeaWorld this Valentine's Day. It even made world news (in some parts of the world where it was an obviously slow news day).
Brilliant idea. If there is a weblink please send it on over

I've also been inspired by your book to write a book of my own -- coming out next year. My website will have a special tab devoted to my 101 quest. I'll let you know when it's up!
I'm getting married in Vegas on June 6th. I know that as the second most popular wedding destination in the world, this is not "unusual" but its unusual for a traditionalist like me, so I'm counting it!
Vegas -- very cool. There's a lot you can add to make it even more unusual -- I think they have a million Elvis' on the Strip. Maybe you can have one officiate or as a guest? :-)
Great links. Were you wearing a penguin suit?
No, but we were dressed in black and white. We were wearing several layers of clothes -- with us being in the 29 degree F cooler for about an hour it got quite cold. Our baby daughter, who watched from the other side of the glass, dressed as a penguin, though!
